HOW DOES UKRAINE’S ELECTRICITY MARKET FUNCTION? FIND THE ANSWERS IN THE JSC “MARKET OPERATOR” COURSE ON MAY 11–15

JSC “Market Operator” continues the implementation of its educational initiative aimed at increasing awareness among participants of the electricity market. This week, another “Market Model” course took place, bringing together 16 professionals from the energy sector.

These consultations are part of a program that, for nearly two years, has been forming a professional platform for representatives of both business and the public sector. Participants gain not only theoretical knowledge but also a practical understanding of the processes taking place in the electricity market, along with the opportunity to exchange experience with colleagues.

The course covers key aspects of market functioning: from its structure and the roles of major participants to the specifics of interaction with the regulator and system operators. Separate modules are dedicated to export-import operations, imbalance management, and aspects of trading strategies.

Experts from leading energy companies are involved in delivering the consultations, including NPC “Ukrenergo,” SE “Guaranteed Buyer,” PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo,” the Promavtomatika group of companies, LLC “ETG Aggregator,” as well as specialists from JSC “Market Operator.”

In addition to its educational purpose, the program also has a social impact: the funds received from conducting the consultations are directed to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the initiative combines the development of the professional community with a contribution to strengthening the country.

The next “Market Model” course will take place from May 11 to May 15, 2026, inclusive.
