2025: ANNUAL REPORT ON THE OPERATION OF THE UKRAINIAN ELECTRICITY SPOT MARKET

The electricity price index for the base-load period on the Day-Ahead Market in 2025 amounted to 5,292.40 UAH per MWh. The weighted average electricity purchase and sale price on the Day-Ahead Market for the reporting year amounted to 5,643.94 UAH per MWh. On the Intraday Market, the weighted average price of electricity accepted during 2025 amounted to 5,522.79 UAH per MWh

• The highest price on the Day-Ahead Market (Base product) was recorded on 20 November, 7–9 December and 24 December 2025 and amounted to 8,220.83 UAH per MWh, while the lowest price on the Day-Ahead Market (Base product) was recorded on 19 May 2025 and amounted to 2,446.46 UAH per MWh.
• The highest accepted volume on the Day-Ahead Market was recorded on 31 December 2025 and amounted to 119,412.6 MWh, while the lowest accepted volume was recorded on 20 April 2025 and amounted to 50,104.8 MWh.
• The highest weighted average price on the Intraday Market was recorded on 14 October 2025 and amounted to 10,803.99 UAH per MWh, while the lowest weighted average price was recorded on 28 March 2025 and amounted to 2,183.66 UAH per MWh.
• The highest accepted volume on the Intraday Market was recorded on 9 December 2025 and amounted to 26,079.4 MWh, while the lowest accepted volume was recorded on 10 August 2025 and amounted to 2,315.7 MWh.

All prices are indicated excluding VAT. The BASE price index was calculated based on hourly data.

Trading volumes on the Ukrainian electricity spot market in 2025 amounted to 33.51 TWh, which is 21.95% higher than the volumes traded on the Day-Ahead Market and the Intraday Market in 2024.

Throughout the year, both the Day-Ahead Market and the Intraday Market were predominantly surplus markets: supply on the Day-Ahead Market exceeded demand by 1.3 times, while on the Intraday Market supply exceeded demand by 1.9 times.

The total value of electricity sold on the Day-Ahead Market in 2025 amounted to 210.929 billion UAH (including VAT), while on the Intraday Market it amounted to 15.648 billion UAH (including VAT).
