AUDITORS CONFIRMED THE TRANSPARENCY OF “MARKET OPERATOR” JSC'S WORK 

The auditing company AC Crowe Ukraine - a member of the Crowe Global international network, which is among the Top-10 largest auditors in the world, has completed with an audit of the JSC «Market Operator» for 2022 on its compliance with the provisions of the Rules of the day-ahead market and the intraday market with a positive conclusion.

The auditors have verified the submission of the DAM/IDM orders for electricity purchase and sale by market participants, the correctness of the DAM/IDM trades results determination and related charges, as well as the processes applied by the Market Operator to the data provided by companies. In addition, the auditors have tested the Market Operator`s alternative software for its ability to manage the spot market processes in accordance with the requirements of DAM/IDM Rules.

"On the basis of the procedures performed and evidences obtained, nothing attracted our attention that would have led us to believe that during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2022 the JSC «Market Operator» did not comply with all essential aspects of the requirements of the DAM/IDM Rules, approved by the Resolution of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, dated on March 14, 2018 ¹ 308,» - mentioned in the auditors' conclusion.

The audit of the JSC Market Operator's compliance with the provisions of the Day-Ahead and Intraday Market Rules is conducted annually. This is the fourth positive conclusion of the auditors on the company's work, which confirms the transparency of the Market Operator's work and the smooth functioning of the day-ahead and intraday markets.

This year, the auditors noted the high level of organization of the day-ahead and intraday markets by the company in the first months of the full-scale russian attack and in the face of the energy infrastructure shelling, which allowed the spot electricity market of Ukraine to function consistently during the period of greatest uncertainty.
