JULY 2023: THE VOLUME OF ELECTRICITY TRADING ON THE DAM INCREASED BY 21,07% AND DECREASED BY 26,37% ON THE IDM

In July 2023, the BASE price index on the Ukrainian DAM amounted to 3463,10 UAH/MWh. The weighted average price for the purchase and sale of electricity on the DAM is 3669,87 UAH/MWh for this period, and the weighted average price of electricity accepted on the intraday market amounted to 3994,16 UAH/MWh.
The trading volume on the day-ahead market increased by 21,07%, and on the intraday market decreased by 26,37%, so that the amount of 1882069,3 MWh was accepted on both market segments for July 2023. The demand on the DAM increased by 14,66%, while supply increased by 8,74% . The demand decreased by 3,24%, while supply decreased by 21,80% on the IDM.
The average prices for electricity in July on the Ukrainian day-ahead market were 7% lower than the average prices on the DAM of Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.
