Practice states that only 0.2% of small businesses in Ukraine buy electricity under complex market algorithms: on the bilateral contracts market, the day-ahead market, the intraday market, and the balancing market. State-owned companies declare their intention to purchase electricity through Prozorro. Private sector companies that consume up to 50,000 kWh per month contract electricity from universal service providers (USPs), while those that consume between 50,000 kWh and 100,000 kWh contract electricity from suppliers from the business region.
