APRIL 2023: DAM AVERAGE ELECTRICITY PRICE REDUCED BY 12,52%

The price index of base-load electricity on the day-ahead market amounts to 2 718,62 UAH/MWh in April 2023, that is 12,52% lower than the average electricity price in March of this year. The weighted average price of electricity purchase and sale on the DAM was 2 813,74 UAH/MWh, that is 13,14% lower compared with the previous month. On the intraday market the weighted average price of electricity traded was 3 181,49 UAH/MWh.
The volume of trades on the day-ahead market reduced by 33,32%, and on the intraday market increased by 16,23% this month. So, 1 433 556,1 MWh of electricity were traded on both market segments in April. The DAM supply, as well as the DAM demand, reduced more than 32%, the IDM demand increased by 15,64%, and the IDM supply decreased by 26,10 % in April.
The electricity average prices on the day-ahead market of Ukraine are more than 1,5 times lower than the same prices in Romania, Slovak Republic and Hungary.
