45,6% OF THE SURVEYED COMPANIES WORKING ON THE MARKET OPERATOR`S PLATFORM EXPRESSED THEIR WILLINGNESS TO OPERATE ON THE SINGLE SPOT MARKET OF EUROPE

45,6% of the surveyed companies, selling and purchasing electricity on the day-ahead market and intraday market, believe that the Ukrainian market should be integrated with the spot market of the European Union. 36,8% of the companies are convinced that the introduction of clearing obligations in all segments of the electricity market of Ukraine is relevant now. 12,5% of them also voted for REMIT reporting standards.

These are the outcomes of the Market Operator`s survey conducted from February 8 to 14, 2023 by an electronic addressed survey of the companies working on the Market Operator`s platform.

During the year that was difficult for everyone, the most valuable thing for 39,6% of energy companies in the Market Operator`s work was its uninterrupted 24/7 operation. 18,7% of the companies identified the 100% payments for electricity sold at the DAM and IDM as the most significant in 2022, whereas the high-quality communication was important for 18% of respondents.  Other 10,8% of the companies have indicated that they used detailed analytics on the DAM and IDM work, which was publicly available on the company's website throughout the year. 4,3% of the market participants appreciated the timely fulfillment of tax liabilities of the JSC Market Operator, another 4,3% indicated DAM and IDM market pricing, as well as 2,2% of market participants appreciated the work of the electric energy market`s AKCC (Accredited Key Certification Center).

The majority of the companies, selling and purchasing electricity on the Market Operator`s platform, did not have any remarks on the DAM/IDM trades organizing. Those market participants, who had difficulties during the working process, have mentioned that they promptly received replies to their questions. 97,8% of the companies noted that they are satisfied with the cooperation with JSC Market Operator in the field of traded electricity payments.

40,6% of market participants mentioned the need to receive an analysis with Ukraine’s DAM/IDM price forecasting to be included in, when respondents were asked on the new services of the JSC Market Operator they are interested in.

31,2% of the companies indicated that they would like to trade electricity under the bilateral contracts on the Market Operator`s platform, 22,5% of them voted for market coupling, and 4,3% - for netting on the DAM and IDM.

Despite the challenges met by the Ukrainian energy last autumn, 96,4% of market participants positively assessed the DAM and IDM operation in 2022. The absolute majority of surveyed companies support the JSC Market Operator’s aspiration to become the nominated electricity market operator (NEMO) and to work with the European SDAC and SIDC.

72,9% of market participants evaluated the work of the JSC «Market Operator» in 2022 with the score of 5 points, 25,7% of respondents put the score of 4 points to the Company. We appreciate the market participants’ trust and suggestions on making the company's work even better.
