MAY 2026: THE BASE ELECTRICITY PRICE INDEX ON THE DAY-AHEAD MARKET REACHED UAH 5,068.72/MWh

The BASE electricity price index on the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) of Ukraine in May 2026 amounted to UAH 5,068.72/MWh, which is 5.98% lower than in April. During the same period, the weighted average electricity trading price on the DAM stood at UAH 5,222.67/MWh, while the weighted average price of accepted electricity on the Intraday Market (IDM) was UAH 4,946.70/MWh.

Trading volume on the Day-Ahead Market decreased by 9.11%, while trading volume on the Intraday Market declined by 1.20%. In total, 2,536,023.8 MWh of electricity was accepted across both market segments in May 2026.

On the DAM, compared to April, demand decreased by 9.28%, while supply increased by 9.49%. On the IDM, demand rose by 3.76%, and supply increased by 6.93%.
